South Coast Railroad Museum

The Goleta Depot, also known as the South Coast Railroad Museum, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places. It was built in 1901 by the Southern Pacific connecting Los Angeles and San Francisco. This was a huge feat at the time and increased accessibility for the Goleta and Santa Barbara region. Today, the Depot is used for educational purposes, operating the facility on weekends for children, families, and all. It remains a Goleta gem and reinforces the historical value of the area.
